How to Save Money at Disney World Sep 03

Saving some cash when visiting to DisneyWorld might seem to be a contradiction in terms, but with a little smart planning and preparation, visitors can have an enjoyable visit to Florida without running up a huge credit card debt.

The DisneyWorld Resort is absolutely huge, covering nearly 50 total miles just outside Orlando, Florida. There are four major amusement areas, Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. With so much to see, visitors almost always spend at least 7 days or more just to see everything. Disney has built more than 14 resorts just to take care of everyone visiting the area.

Obviously, Disney executives recognize that people are looking for different options when visiting the area. For this reason, they have resorts that fit everyone’s budget. Resorts are classified into Value, Moderate, and Deluxe classifications. Value is sort of the Walt Disney way of saying inexpensive, but customers won’t be let down, as the hotels are clean and comfortable. Moderate hotels are one step up, promising slightly larger rooms and full service restaurants on site.

Deluxe hotels at Disney are top-of-the-line accommodations built to please and pamper any tourist. Some of the hotels such as the Contemporary Resort and Polynesian are on the monorail, so you can simply ride to Epcot without using a car or riding a bus. Rooms are also bigger, and the Disney World environment is always magical.

So how do you decide which resort to stay at? Well would you rather use your money on souvenirs or indulge your family with the best, after all you are on vacation? Value rooms like the Disney Pop Century Hotel can cost somewhere from $80 to $120 per night, while Deluxe Hotel start from $225 and go up from there. As you can tell, if you extrapolate that by 6 to 9 days, you would end up spending hundreds more just for a better place.

The option belongs to the visitor, but whatever you pick, you can be sure Disney World employees will do their best to be sure you and your family have a good visit.
