Where to Look for the Crewed Charter Yachts Oct 25

Just imagine cruising the tropical seas aboard your own private yacht charter. If this has been a dream of yours that you would like to make a reality it is recommended that you first do some research. As with anything else word of mouth is always the best testament. If you have a business partner, friend, or family member that has chartered a yacht ask about their experience.

Count the Costs

There are a lot of charter companies and a huge variety of yachts available for charter. The prices are widely varied as well. A basic charter fee will include the use of the yacht and its equipment, crew salary and insurance. Additional expenses would depend upon your destination and number of guests. Some of these expenses would include the fuel, water, dockage, port and cruising taxes, mooring charges, shoreside power etc. There may be specific needs and requests that may increase your costs as well such as the food, wine, beverages, and flowers. Also, the additional cost of getting to the yacht’s location may not be included.

Investigate the Charter

Do an online investigation.  You don’t want any surprises after you have set sail and are in a remote location. Most of the crewed charter yachts will have a website with beautiful photos, captain and crew backgrounds, maybe even some feedback from people who have traveled aboard their charter. Ask questions such as what type of security do they provide, what would happen in the event of a medical emergency?

Some other questions to consider: Where would you like to cruise? How long do you wish to cruise? How many guests? Will there only be adults or will children be aboard also? What type of recreational activities do you want to partake in? Do you or any of your guests have special dietary or physical needs? You want to choose the ideal yacht and crew to make exploring distant islands and tropical locations enjoyable and relaxing.

Enjoy Your Cruising Experience

Now that we have covered the necessary technical information here is what to expect onboard one of these crewed charter yachts. A typical day of cruising will include exploring private inlets and bays, swimming, fishing and snorkeling or maybe some waterskiing or racing with your friends on a jet ski. You may decide you just want to relax on a private beach improving your suntan. For a cultural experience there is always shopping in a quaint island village or collecting pieces of art from various ports of call.

At the end of a day of recreational activities you can enjoy a cocktail while watching TV in the lounge area or play a game of cards at a table near a window with a beautiful tropical view.  Just writing this article makes me want to sign up right now!

As long as you do your research and plan ahead you will not be disappointed with your decision to book a crewed charter yacht.

Snap Up a Cruise Special Oct 25

Years ago taking a cruise was only for the very well to do, but today simply by checking want ads and websites, you can find a cruise special that fits your budget. There are many cruise specials available, whether it’s a three-day voyage, five-day, nine-day or even longer.

Many times though you will have to plan your vacation around the dates of a cruise. They are not flexible, but are varied and numerous. You leave when the boat leaves and returns when it does. Following that simple rule you should find a cruise special available when you are ready.

A source of last-minute cruise offerings from a variety of cruise lines is Vacationstogo.com. Over a 90-day booking range many discounts are available. You will usually need to book even farther in advance if you’re looking to sail on a particular ship or with a certain company.

The Quicker You Go, the Lower the Cost

The best cruise specials may be available when there’s a shorter time between booking and sailing, but your choices may be limited. Cruise lines often lower prices to fill staterooms and agencies may lower their price to meet their quota of the number of passengers they are responsible for booking, as the sail date approaches.

For example, an agency may get a set price per person, and so pre-purchases a set number of rooms. If it doesn’t sell that number of rooms, the price for what they did sell may go up and the agency will be paying the difference, not the travelers with whom they have a signed deal. It behooves them to sell all the trips even if that involves offering some cruise specials, which means their profit margin will only be a little lower.

You may find a cruise special on a suite instead of an inside room or just the opposite, depending on the importance you place on the type of room you will be in. If you’re the type planning to party and spend the majority of your time on deck, then the type of room you sleep in probably won’t be that important and some of the best cruise special deals can be found for some of the least expensive rooms. But the bottom line is that if you’re looking for a cruise special and can be flexible in your travel dates, there are many to take advantage of.

Years ago taking a cruise was only for the very wealthy, but today simply by checking want ads and websites, you can find a cruise special that’s within your budget. To check out more no cost articles on cruises visit, http://www.cruises.jsgenterprises.com

Australia Always a Good Season to Visit Oct 25

Time your visit right to Australia and check out Australia’s holiday calendar. Most families and all schools close from before Xmas to the end of January. Some areas it will be difficult to find a room. Some of Australia’s public holidays calendar vary by state

Ironically the most settled weather in southern Australian states Victoria and Tasmania is actually later in February. In contrast the peak holiday period for far northern Australia is the dry season which starts in May and runs through to October. Its worth checking out the 2009 Australia holiday calendar so that you are aware of local events which can make it hard to find a bed. Queensland has four school terms, while many other states only run three. Unless if you have kids in school travelling outside the school holidays is always a good idea.

The Land Down Under is not only backwards in the seasons but also highly varied. Although most northern hemisphere residents see Australia as the land of hot long summers. The reality is more complex. Australia has areas of snow in the winter and several ski resorts. In contrast in the far north there is no summer: just a wet and dry season. In the north of Australia the wet season ends any travel on dirt roads as they turn to mud.

Buy yourself a pocket Australia 2009 holiday calendar as soon as you arrive. That way you will be on top of the confusing holidays including Queen’s Birthday and Labour Day which vary right across the year depending on the state. Australia-wide there is consistently in a few national holidays including ANZAC Day and Australia Day but apart from these exceptions Australia is a mess of different holidays - and don’t even get me started on the timezones!
