The city's largest lace merchant, in business since 1810. Sells a wide variety of modern and antique lace at fairly reasonable prices. The service is helpfully old-fashioned. Roses Lace Boutique Rue Charles Buls 30. (Métro: Gare Centrale. Mon-Sat 10am-7pm.) There's a large collection of spooky lace-clad porcelain dolls in the window of this small shop, but it's a good place to go for gifts - they sell everything from parasols to lace crucifixes. It's not cheap however: a tiny lace tea coaster costs ?6.80, whereas the tablecloths cost as much as ?121.50.
